around. (64 dc) Join to first dc. (if hat crown is large enough for your
purposes just work this round even).
Rounds
8-15: ch 3, 1 dc in each stitch around. Join to first dc. (Continue to ignore ch 3, it’s only there for
height)
Rounds
16-19: Switch to 5.0mm hook. Ch 2, fpdc in first stitch, bpdc in next, continue
this pattern around, joining to first dc and ignoring ch 2. This is the ribbing, so make sure the pattern
remains consistent – all fpdc should be in the same column and all bpdc should
likewise be in the same column.
Ending:
Join to first dc, weave in all ends.
